How Paid Surveys Work
Why are you getting paid to complete surveys? Before I started paid surveys, I thought to myself "who would be stupid enough to pay me to answer questions?". I never understood why, so I just stayed away from paid surveys until I did a bit more researching and discovered why companies will pay me to answer their questions!
Did you know that each year companies are shoveling out millions and millions of dollars to people like you and me to complete paid surveys? I didn't either, but it's true. Companies want to know what you're buying and why you're buying it. Why?
Let's assume there are two cell phones. Cell phone #1 is picked 70% of the time when shown with cell phone #2. Wouldn't the creator of cell phone #2 want to know why? I certainly would, and hopefully you do too. This is why they put out paid surveys giving users pictures and features of both cell phones and asking them why they'd pick one over the other. Once they learn this, they can remake their product and later re-release it and enjoy the profit that's made. Even though they paid you that $50.00 to take that simple survey, they are eventually going to profit in the long run because they remade the product (and you still get to keep your $50.00).
Some other common products are asking if you think a food label looks catchy and attractive. This of course helps them in the long run as well. If you don't have an attractive looking product on the shelf in a market store, people will just walk right by it.
This is the basics of how and why paid surveys work. Hopefully you know have a better understanding of paid surveys and why companies pay you to answer questionnaires.
