Are Paid Online Surveys Worth it?
There are so many websites out there that promote paid surveys as a way of making a decent income from home. I was skeptical to begin with, especially as I had tried program after program and not getting anywhere. However, after throwing caution to the wind I decided to purchase one of the paid survey programs, and the results have been surprising.
The program cost me $49.00 (which cost me £22.00 at the time) so it wasn’t such a dent in my already depleted bank account. What I received for my money was a login, password and a website listing literally hundreds of paid survey sites. The choice was daunting, and just looking at the first page made we want to run a mile. However, since I had already spent money I didn’t really have I decided to give it a go.
It wasn’t as bad as I had first thought. A lot of the survey sites were for US or Canadian residents so that made the process a little easier. I signed up for as many international and UK sites as I could. The sign up process was long, and unless you live in either the USA, Canada, UK Australia or Europe it is probably not worth the effort.
So, sign ups complete, now what? Waiting, waiting and more waiting. Then… a survey, and another, and another. This was initially quite slow, and I was only receiving surveys from a number of sites. It has taken a good six months for the surveys to fill my inbox and now there are so many I cannot get them all done in time. They also ranged in length and compensation with one company paying me $10.00 for a 25 minute survey. Although I has taken me six months to get to this level, I have made a decent starting income from doing surveys. So long as you realise that this is not a ‘get rich quick’ program, and that it takes time to get a decent amount of money from it; then there is no reason to think that paid surveys are a waste of time.
